Driver & Passenger side tie rods. Passenger side was causing vibration at speed, excessively worn, suspected premature failure due to collision. Drivers side inner tie rod joint also bad, diagnosed when technician attempted to align the front end after replacement of passenger side tie rod. Tie rods are a dealer only item. You cannot replace just the inner tie rod, you must replace the entire tie rod if the inner joint is bad. Buy a tie rod tool at any auto parts store unless you want to drop the subframe. The new tie rod does not come with a new nylock nut. You want one. Grrr. |

Replaced all 4 glow plugs & glow plug harness. Reset check engine light with vag-com. Yay, no more check engine light and no $75 given to the dealer to reset the light. Replacing the glow plugs is remarkably easy, even easier than spark plugs since they aren't torqued in. :-) |
