  1. I have to say I enjoyed the day I drove your Jetta (before she rejected me and stopped running till you returned); that’s a tempting vehicle.

  2. For those who might be tempted to blame my Jetta for Jay’s poor experience, see my Jetta log, entry 1/7/05 at 78,000 miles, and the accompanying comment.

The new Jetta is a bit more spacious too. The TDI gets its owner a $1,300 tax credit because of its super-high economy. Dealers here in Seattle are adding a $2k markup on the TDI, simply because they can. There are only two in stock, and they’ll be sold before new ones come in next month. There are no deals to be had, and they are barely any cheaper to buy used. Tempting? Sorely.

  3. Well, that is why I pointed out that she rejected me; I’m sure because of the long history the two of you had, she decided to make her point while someone else was driving, thereby hurting you without actually hurting you. Classic passive-aggressive behavior. 😉

But yes — it was actually your fault, not the wonderful Jetta’s. I remember when you stopped over after replacing it to show me the faulty part.
