I want to switch from a Dell to an Apple and was looking at the Macbooks. They are out of my price range right now (I would have bought yours!), so could you tell me the differences between an PowerBook and a Macbook? Can a PowerBook run Tiger? What kind of software is on it? What price did you have in mind?

Take a look again, and make sure to search for completed auctions that sold from reputable sellers. Then narrow that down to MacBooks upgraded with 2GB of RAM. You’ll find the average sale price ranges from about $900-$1,100.
